Recently, Dr. Janette Loreto Garin, former Philippine Secretary of Health, led a delegation to visit Shenzhen Cell Valley Biomedical Co., Ltd., where in-depth discussions were held on cutting-edge technologies in cell and gene therapy (CGT), clinical translation, industrialization capabilities, and cooperation models between China and the Philippines in the Biomedical field.
During the visit, the delegation conducted an on-site tour of the GMP-grade cell preparation and quality management system at Shenzhen Cell Valley, gaining a systematic understanding of the company's technological layout and industrialization progress in areas such as NK cells, CAR-T/CAR-NK, viral vectors, and exosomes. The relevant responsible person from Shenzhen Cell Valley highlighted the company's practical experience and achievements in large-scale production of clinical-grade cell products, full-process quality control, international compliance system construction, and cross-border delivery.
During the symposium, both parties conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as the development of public health systems in the Philippines, the demand for cancer and chronic disease treatment, and the pathways for introducing advanced therapeutic technologies. Dr. Garin highly commended the systematic technical platform and compliance capabilities established by Shenzhen Cell Valley in the field of cell and gene therapy, emphasizing its significant exemplary role in promoting the accessibility of advanced Biomedical technologies to more patients. She expressed her expectation for exploring more pragmatic and sustainable cooperation mechanisms in areas such as clinical research collaboration, clinical application of cell products, talent cultivation, and regional healthcare capacity enhancement.
Professor Shi Yuanyuan, Chairman of Shenzhen Cell Valley, stated that as an international enterprise, the company has consistently adhered to the development philosophy of "compliance first, clinical orientation, and international collaboration," actively participating in the construction of a global biomedical innovation network. The visit by the delegation led by the former Philippine Minister of Health not only deepened mutual understanding between the two sides but also laid a solid foundation for higher-level and more in-depth cooperation between China and the Philippines in the field of cell and gene therapy.
In the future, Shenzhen Cell Valley will continue to leverage its advantages in technology platforms, industrialization capabilities, and international layout, working with international partners including the Philippines to jointly promote the standardized application and sustainable development of advanced Biomedical technologies, contributing China solutions and China strength to the public health cause in the region and even globally.
